Build with PRIDE Volunteer Registration

Join us to complete Home Refresh Projects in Park Circle, a special opportunity for volunteers to come together to support neighbors and celebrate community pride.

Volunteers will help with light exterior home projects for Habitat homeowners in Park Circle. These small projects can make a big difference in helping homeowners maintain and enjoy their homes.

Volunteer projects may include:

• Yard cleanup (raking leaves, pulling weeds, trimming bushes)

• Painting front porches or front doors

• Pressure washing exterior surfaces

No special skills are required—just a willingness to lend a hand and work alongside neighbors and fellow volunteers! Habitat staff will provide guidance, materials, and tools.

This is also a great chance to connect with the Park Circle community, build relationships, and work together to keep our neighborhood looking its best.

What to expect:

• Outdoor volunteer work

• Light physical activity

• Opportunities to meet and work alongside Habitat homeowners and neighbors

What to bring:

• Closed-toe shoes

• Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty

• A positive attitude and community spirit!

What is Build with PRIDE?

Build with Pride is a hands-on initiative that promotes inclusion, unity, and housing justice by celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Anchored by an annual build event, the initiative also includes community engagement activities, participation in local Pride Month events, and a culminating celebration at the Charleston Pride Parade and Festival.

This year, Build with Pride will also include Home Refresh Projects June 24–27, where volunteers will support local LGBTQ+ neighbors through exterior home repairs, landscaping, painting, and beautification projects.

Build with Pride is part of Charleston Habitat for Humanity’s broader commitment to community connection and housing equity. Through construction, creativity, and collaboration, this initiative brings people together to build more than homes—it builds visibility, belonging, and stronger neighborhoods for all.
