9/11 Day of Remembrance, Service & Honor

On September 11, join us for a powerful Day of Remembrance, Service & Honor—a community-wide event bringing together first responders, veterans, public officials, and local residents to commemorate the lives lost on 9/11 through purposeful action. Volunteers will come together to support a Habitat construction or critical repair project that directly benefits a local family in need—transforming remembrance into impact.

This year’s event will also shine a spotlight on the Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps program, which empowers emerging leaders to serve communities through hands-on service in construction, community engagement, and capacity-building roles. AmeriCorps members exemplify the spirit of service that defined our nation after 9/11, and their contributions will be recognized throughout the day.

Event Schedule:
Opening Ceremony (8:30 AM)
Volunteer Construction Project (9:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
Reflection & Community Gathering (3:00 PM)

• Veteran and active-duty military,
• Public official,
• Community volunteer of all ages,
• Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps member or alumni,
• Member of a veterans, civic or faith-based group?
